Create partnerships that support college readiness

Districts across Texas have access to an online HB 5 college preparatory program that allows continuity of instruction and a user-friendly platform.

With Texas College Bridge, high school juniors and seniors can take individualized, online preparatory courses in English and math. Once successfully completed, students can earn a TSI exemption at one of the more than 80 participating Institutions of Higher Education.

As a Higher Education institution, you can partner with Texas College Bridge.

Follow the Checklist for Higher Education Partners to have a smooth and successful experience with Texas College Bridge. View the Texas College Bridge MOU and the Addendum listing participating colleges. To participate, download the Signature Page and follow the instructions for sending. If you like, have your faculty review the courses. Once you sign the MOU, review the list of participating districts to help your outreach to get your local districts to participate in Texas College Bridge.

“The transition from high school to college is hard enough without having any gaps in your education. I think the Texas College Bridge program helped these students take some of that burden from their shoulders, as they do not need to pay for extra developmental classes and are ready to enroll in their degree seeking college courses.”
